Hello and welcome to our school. My name is Claire Lyles and I am the Acting Headteacher here at Battyeford Church of England Primary School and Nursery. Our school offers an exciting education for children in a secure, caring and stimulating environment. At Battyeford we pride ourselves in providing an education for the ‘whole’ child encouraging all our pupils to strive to be the very best they can. Our school mission statement is: We are lucky to have a large site and have various teaching rooms in addition to our classrooms. We have an art studio, Music room, Performing Arts area, Numbers Counts room and extensive playing fields. We have a school gardening area and poly-tunnel for growing our own produce. We provide our pupils with an excellent range of enhancements to their learning through a variety of extra curricular clubs which encourage music, sport, art, craft, cooking, dance and drama. There are opportunities for residential trips in Years five and six. We are proud of the close partnership we have between parents, careers, staff, pupils and governors and we hope that this web site will be a useful way for us to keep you informed.
