Parking At School
Being Thoughtful & Keeping all our Children Safe
Our school car park is for staff only. We encourage children and parents to walk to school where possible, but parents should not use the staff car park to drop off or collect their children, and the school entrance should not be used as a turning circle. The roads and pavements immediately outside our school are very congested and dangerous at the start and end of the school day. For the safety of all the children parents are requested not to park illegally e.g. on the zigzags, yellow lines or at the bus stop. We have a significant number of parents/carers who have a blue badge and we receive many requests for people to use the disabled parking space. As the car park is situated in the middle of the site it is not feasible to allow lots of cars use it. The disabled space is only used by parents of the children we have in school with physical & mobility disabilities. We have to keep the safety of the children as paramount importance.
Parking in the community is an increasing problem, we ask that you consider local residents and park your car well away from school and walk in with your child. This will ease congestion around the school entrance and ensure the safety of the children.
