Nurturing Achievement: Growing and learning together

Welcome to Battyeford CE (VC) Primary

Expectations for pupils’ behaviour and conduct are consistently high.Lessons are focused and this is reflected in pupils’ good attitudes to learning. Pupils are proud of their school and are courteous and confident to engage in conversation. They listen well to adults and their peers, and show respect for the views of others. Attainment at the end of key stage 1 has been consistently good for the last three years and has steadily increased in KS2 and is now above the national average in reading, writing and mathematics. Arts Award Explore - Pupils from Year 6 pass this amazing new accredited award

Nine pupils from Year 6 have passed 'Arts Award Explore Certification' and were honoured through a special achievement assembly on Thursday the 21st of November. Pupils received their certificates from Trinity College and celebrated their success with parents and Key Stage 2 pupils on this day. To pass this award pupils had to undertake a minimum of an extra 20 hours of study in the Arts at home and in a special lunchtime club with Mrs Deane and Mrs Croisdale. They also participated in a range of arts experiences at local venues and with visiting artists in to school. A great achievement by all the children. Well done.
